MY APPROACH
to designing Wix websites for small businesses, nonprofits & artists
My website design clients are small business owners, nonprofits, and artists. Many of them need a website that is affordable, effective, and easy to use.

To meet those needs, I must be a creative strategist - my website design starts with developing a strategy and plan. And that strategy and plan must consider three things at all times: my client, their audience, and the tools I use. So, I have goals set for each.
MY PROJECT GOALS
my
client
My goal is that my client's:

-
needs are met
-
goals are achieved
-
expectations are considered
your audience
My goal is that site visitors':

-
questions are answered
-
needs are met
-
perspectives are considered
the
tools
My goal is to find or create tools that are:
-
effective & accurate
-
efficient & easy to use
-
improve the user experience
MY PROCESS
This is the process I follow. This helps me meet my project goals - so you get the website you need.
STRATEGY
Developing an effective strategy begins with learning about you and doing targeted research to understand your audience.
What are your goals and expectations?
Who is your audience and what do they need?
What content do we need to share?
FORM + FUNCTION
Next, we set the foundation by deciding your website's general aesthetic and essential functions.
Are there brand guidelines we must follow?
What are the feelings we want site visitors to have?
What colors and fonts will we use?
What do we want site visitors to do?
STRUCTURE
Once we have the basic foundation in place, it's time to create the framework of the website.
How is the content going to be organized?
What info goes on each page?
How do we want visitors to interact with the site?
PRESENTATION
With the foundation set and the basic build underway, it's time to decide how to dress it up.
How do we get the visual and written content to work together?
How does the design direct visitors to act?
Is the information accessible by all site visitors?
REVIEW + REFINE
The last key step is to have multiple people check that everything makes sense and works.
How does everything look and feel?
Are there typos or any functions not working?
Do we need to cut or add anything to make it better?
